Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she is responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the rise and development of tourism to space. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since been an White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the both the Biden and Trump administrations on space issues. Over the course of this time, she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. Kristin was on the road extensively, both with the president and vice president. The reporter even took an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Utilizing her expertise on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company focused on making documentary-style movies for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband in Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
